@helenS Where I live there's no problems with petrol supply - there was panic-buying at the end of last week, but no queues by the end of this week. It seems to be idiots in London and the South-East who are fuelling the fuel crisis. They're probably shitting themselves and using up all the loo roll they unnecessarily hoarded in March and April of 2020

@ArtieKat I will never understand why 1/3 of the population are still not vaccinated in Germany. I don't get it. It's not because of a vaccine shortage. There seem to be many "anti-vaxxers” who believe that vaccinations are a “human rights violation" or something. 😐

@helenS If it's any consolation the same sort of thing happened when (smallpox?) vaccines were first around in the 19th century. 'Leave it to Divine Providence' etc, etc. Trouble was, 'divine providence' was having a kip at the time and a few thousand more people died.
