We got an election this weekend in germany... thats the expected results for the direct seats


quite some shift

translation for americans:
blue = conservative party (think the center part of democrats)
red = social democrats
green = green party
black = right wing party (think republicans)
dark red = socialists

there will be also a libertarian party but they wont get any direct seats only from the proportional seats, in germany there is 2 votes one for a local candidate which this map shows and then a 2nd proportional vote that constututes the parliament.

@vetguy1991 a few month back they were actually the leading party in the proportional vote but their campaign didnt go well... green party and the conservatives kept ging for each others throats and the social democrats just kept quite and people flocked there

@vetguy1991 yeah... german people dont like loud and agressive campaigns... Merkel politics always was viewed as calm and many people liked that
