Bill Gates, why would he talk so much abt pandemic and the vaccines
He's a tech guy, perhaps the only one tech guy to talk abt pandemic so much, he has some special interest?

@bijouxbroussard Part of the reason for that is that back in the 90s, he was sued under monopoly laws, and rightly so.

@LordShadowfire I understand, but he could be putting money solely into groups that do nothing for public health and safety. And he’d be clear legally, and still be receiving tax breaks. I’m not sure where the recent conspiracy theories about him have come from. It’s as if when people don’t have any solid “dirt”, they’re happy to make something up.

That has nothing to do with it. Microsoft was sued by the government, and the government won. Verdict was announced on April 3, 2000, causing the 7 year bubble buildup to burst. I agree, Microsoft violated anti-trust laws.
At the end though, the decision to break the company down into at least two companies, was not carried out and an eventual settlement was reached.
Earlier in his career, he was asked why he was not too involved in philanthropy, and his answer was that it's a very complex issue, and people make huge mistakes when they simply dump money on the problem. His decision was to extract himself from Microsoft, so he can focus on studying the problem and then executing a plan, that evolved into the Gates Foundation.
