Where is the evidence that most deaths in the USSR were caused by Operation Barbarossa?

I don't buy that most of the deaths in the USSR were caused by the Nazis. That's just a non-sensical talking point designed to whitewash the legitimate brutal history of the USSR. We get it, you're offended that nobody trusts communism.

We have a good reason to. It's always brought dictatorship. Why do you need to make up stories about Nazis being the major cause of deaths just to make excuses for the failed system that communism is?

The USSR didn't actually practice pure communism. It was a brutal dictatorship, and you people still think to this day that they were purely communist because they called themselves that.

@LordShadowfire The Nazis didn't practice pure fascism, going by the rules of the Appeal to Purity Fallacy, otherwise known as the No True Scotsman, which is what you are engaged in.

As for your last line.... isn't that the exact justification ANTIFA gives for why they're "anti-fascist"? The same group that also flies the Communist Symbol?

@MickRogers Nope. Nice try. Read up on Marxist theory, and you'll find he is literally painting the opposite picture of what the Soviet Union ended up as.

@LordShadowfire Nice try but, unlike yourself, I actually know history and recognize the plain fact that VI Lenin literally only started the COMMUNIST revolution in Russia because he had a desire to implement Karl Marx's theory into the society. Not to mention that every single other nation, whether it be the USSR or China or Cuba or Cambodia, they all started as communist in theory and all descended into dictatorships.

Therefore, the only rational conclusion to this is we have a legitimate valid reason to be weary of any upcoming desires to implement communism.

Just saying it isn't exactly what it is (communism) isn't a good argument. It's no different than saying that the US isn't truly capitalist because of its lack of a totally free market.

@MickRogers communists never practice communism, that’s the point. Concentrated power leads to that sort of self justified behavior … always. Cuba, China. and Venezuela, as well as several two but African nations followed in those footsteps.

@DownTheStreet And fascists clearly never practice fascism.

@MickRogers Jesus Christ. Go read a damn book. The USSR might have called itself socialist and communist but it wasn't. At least educate yourself before you get into an argument on the internet.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@DownTheStreet I'm afraid you're right.
