There are black people who like the Confederate Flag as well. I don't own any flags, Confederate, or otherwise. Personally I feel uneasy about the Confederate flag. But I've heard stories of minorities celebrating with it especially down south. The thing is it means different things for different people.

@DestroyerOfIdeologies Yes. Many of us refer to them as “Uncle Toms”. They’re a bit of an embarrassment, but their confusion doesn’t change the facts of what happened. Same as folks who call each other the “n” word or bleach their skin. Self-loathing and internalized racism is real, alas.

@bijouxbroussard Exactly. Seeing those YouTube videos, my first thought was self-loathing. The amount of black people who actually agree with those people in the videos are so few and far between, it's ridiculous to consider giving them a platform here. It's another attempt to legitimize a mindset steeped in willful ignorance.
