While I follow political news, more and more it seems some people on the left and right treat politics as a quasi-religious crusade.

There are plenty of people who subscribe to facts-based politics, but that only works when context is taking into full consideration.
But it seems as if more SW political posts ignore facts, context or both.
I suppose you may have a point here. Just like these factually-devoid political arguments, religion is also devoid of facts and only works on 100% faith.
