@MarkPaul My point is that the Taliban did not participate in the 9/11 attacks and they would've happened with or without the Taliban. Not that I'm trying to defend the Taliban.

@DDonde It sounds like you are trying to defend the Taliban... and not very well. They provided a training area (ROLE). They provided safe haven (ROLE). And, they provided safe passage to Pakistan after the fact (ROLE).

@MarkPaul Well I'm against the Taliban like any sane person would be. And I agree that they did those things, just that I'm saying that those things aren't roles in the attacks. I'm splitting hairs and being argumentative for no reason so I'll stop.
