I'm as anti-war as they come, but I'm really not a big fan of just standing by while other nations wantonly conquer territories with military force. The idea of a war with the PRC is as ghastly as they come, but honestly I think that outcome is [i]still[/i] less bad than letting them take over the South China Sea without a fight. It just sets an awful precedent, and once they've got that territory, there's no way to get it back.

@sunsporter1649 The US's infrastructure gets a grade of C- and we've been dumping millions of dollars into wars against mountain tribes that wipe their asses with their hands. Make no mistake -- the US didn't give Afghanistan to the Taliban; it belonged to them from day 1 and we had no business interfering while our own nation was in shambles. I hope Afghanistan one day embraces liberalism, secularism, and democracy, but we can't force that choice upon them.

@sunsporter1649 Since you're just gonna deflect, Imma tell you straight up that 2,420 of our brave men and uniform died in the Afghanistan War, only ~600 shy of the number that died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11. This war has costed us two trillion dollars and we've gotten [u]nothing[/u] out of it. Supporting the War in Afghanistan is an anti-American stance.
And if you give a fuck about black Americans in Chicago, how about we allocated some of those trillions of federal dollars into public education, social programs, and police reform so we can actually address the root causes of the voilence you're referring to? We've known for decades that wealth disparity fuels crime. It's not rocket science.

@sunsporter1649 The democratic party is almost entirely populated by corporatist shitbags who couldn't tame a damn Mindstorm. That said, a lot of the solutions you'd need in order to adequately address the problems Chicago is facing would have to be done at the federal level due to issues such as capital flight and potentially, the Supremacy Clause.
