And Obummer had 8.

@checkoutanytime We've taken in over 70k of them since '08.
@QuixoticSoul @ over $4 Trillion of TAX PAYERS contributions, only to be the laughing stock of the World, due to the incompetence of this Administration. 😑

@checkoutanytime Ah yes, it's this administration's fault that we wasted twenty years in Afghanistan. Makes sense.
@checkoutanytime And let’s not forget how Howdy Doody got us there in the first place.
@LeopoldBloom 9 of 20, and only 7 can be pointed at neo-con Cheaney'S, which leaves this Administration in the negative 🙄

@checkoutanytime And Bush two went in there ti shore up support back home (Lets not kid ourselves) So there is plenty of blame to go around😷
@whowasthatmaskedman as far as 2 parties, yes 100% agree

@checkoutanytime Now thinking that through. The US votes elected each one. And thats where the buck stops.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman only choices, is my assumption as to why the largest majority refrains from voting, due to the heads I win, tales you loose mentality of our industrialized federal government "of", rather then the Peoples government of the constitution.

@checkoutanytime "By George, I think you've got it"
I saw this on TV some years ago and have never seen better explanation

@checkoutanytime I'll be the first to agree that there were many missed opportunities to leave Afghanistan in every administration. Keeping score makes no sense. Kudos to Biden for finally ripping off the bandaid and getting us out of there.
@whowasthatmaskedman That's great, but it ignores the historical reasons for the two-party system. There are also significant differences between the two parties. If Hillary Clinton had won in 2016, we wouldn't have Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett on the Supreme Court. We'd have a 6-3 liberal majority, with no concern that abortion would be outlawed or our voting rights trampled.

Multiple parties tend to thrive in parliamentary systems like in Europe and Israel, and give more power to fringe groups. Imagine if the only way the Republicans could gain power was to form a coalition with an anarchist party that opposed government regulation, but also wanted to disband all police forces. Or the Democrats had to ally with a Christian party that supported free universal health care, but was also fanatically anti-abortion. Imagine if elections depended on which side a radical vegan group joined.

No thanks, I'll take the two party system as long as the minority party doesn't change the law to give themselves a permanent advantage.

@LeopoldBloom Thats always the risk you take. But I think the polarization in America comes from the amount of money that goes into campaigns and where that money comes from. The NRA is an obvious target. But one of many. Get the donations out of the game and more rational politics would stand a chance.
@whowasthatmaskedman We need to overturn Citizens United, but there's no chance of that happening with the current Supreme Court.
