Some of the articles in the media about this over the last few days are terrifying to even watch from the other side of the world.

At times, I wonder if freedom of the press is such a good thing to have after all - especially when we are watching human beings falling off the sides of aeroplanes to their inevitable death and looking at photo after photo of what is obviously the shadow of a dead body.

That's traumatic shit for those who are there and have to witness it... but, at least they are more likely to get help to overcome the trauma that they are left with - what about the rest of us???

I'm guessing you've never watched Judgment at Nuremberg.
@beckyromero No, that wouldn't be something that would entertain me.

Being alive during the Viet Nam war in the late 60s & early 70s, scenes like that were normal to see on the news every night.
@Pfuzylogic That was 10-20 years before my time - and it still doesn't make the practice okay, either.

After you see it hundreds of times as a child you get desensitized when every adult around you doesn’t respond.
