If their claims are correct, dominion sueing them give them the opportunity to prove.
Not a comment either way but could back fire if they do have the evidence.

@Callmewhatyouwill very true. so would you say if they don't produce evidence at these proceedings that there is no evidence?
@NoahB I would say they have no evidence.
NoahB · 31-35, M
@Callmewhatyouwill hahaha i see. well that would be quite a shock wouldnt it?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Callmewhatyouwill The thing that makes these defamation suits such a slam dunk is that their claims are a priori impossible, and everyone involved has known this from the beginning. There is no evidence to be had, and worse for them, nobody can even pretend that it was a good faith mistake.
@NoahB honestly, doesn't matter. Won't change anything.
@QuixoticSoul I'm not sure what the exact claims dominion is sueing over are, but if the claim is dominion machines are unsecure and easily hacked that's easy to prove without mountains I've evidence.
If the claim is dominion itself interfered that's harder to prove by far, nearly impossible. And even if there's evidence of someone from dominion tampering there's plausible deniability from the company that the person was acting on their own.

@Callmewhatyouwill yeah but those claims have been being said since bush won. So far its only yeilded that theoretically its possible to hack the machines under serveral conditions but no evidence that they have been hacked have ever been produced.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Callmewhatyouwill The part that make all of those things nigh-impossible is that dominion machines just print out filled out ballots, which are reviewed by the voter, and turned in on site to be counted later. They don’t store results in the database, and create an inherent paper trail. People would have raised a fuss immediately.
And this was widely known from the start.

@QuixoticSoul whoever loses the election will always say the machines were hacked too. they said it when trump won and that produced a big fat nothing.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Then why are they connected to the internet?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@NoahB There are a lot of different voting systems out there, some are more or less vulnerable to exploitation by bad actors. It just so happens that Dominion systems are unusually robust due to their paper-only setup, and are an exceptionally poor target for claims by pillow mike, etc.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul LOL, and you believe that.
ElwoodBlues · M
@sunsporter1649 We've been waiting nine months for hard evidence and nothing has been offered that stands up in court. If the Arizona Ninja clowns had anything, they wouldn't keep it secret.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 This isn’t a statement of belief sporty. You have a fancifully goofy sense of epistemology.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Strange, is it not, that every State that used those goof-ball machines still have not figured out the vote tallys, unlike some States that had their results posted in 90 minutes
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 You do realize that Dominion machines were also used in Florida, right?
Dominion machines print out paper ballots, they’re as easy to count as any others.

sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul The trick is that our machines were not connected to the internet
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Ironically, Florida is one of the places where some election systems remained online.
Some of the systems have been online for a year and possibly longer. Some of them disappeared from the internet after the researchers notified an information-sharing group for election officials last year. But at least 19 of the systems, including one in Florida’s Miami-Dade County, were still connected to the internet this week, the researchers told Motherboard.
But in Dominion’s case that is essentially irrelevant because their machines print paper ballots which are reviewed by the voter, and turned in on site to be counted later.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Counted by whom? Actually, the results are printed up immediately after the polls closed at 8pm, and by 90 minutes later the results were certified and released to the media and the
representatives of the electoral college. Funny how that did not happen more often, eh?

QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 That sort of performance is actually pretty easy if you’re allowed to start counting mail-in votes early. Not every state allows for that.
And counted by the people who count ballots, of course. The exact setup varies between counties, but is usually agreed and overseen by both parties.

@QuixoticSoul And you believe that, too. But then again, you are from california
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Believe that some states don’t allow for early counting of mail in votes? Sporty, this is not a belief thing, you seem really confused about these things today.
Here is a handy list for you.

@sunsporter1649 Also I notice that you’ve moved on from whining about Dominion systems changing votes, and are now whining about ballot counting.
And that’s exactly why Dominion will win these lawsuits.
