No one will remember her for her achievements only her disrespect. Besides no one remembers second place just the first loser.
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac You misspelled respect, but indeed she will be remembered for that even more than for her medal. That's also an achievement to be proud of though, so good for her either way.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato I didn't use respect in that post.
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac No, you called it disrespect. But any country should be proud for one of their athletes promoting basic human rights. The only disrespect shown here is that she was the only one caring enough about something so important.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato It is disrespect ,are you from the usa?
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac No, I'm from a country that doesn't mind the pursuit of human rights.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato Then you know nothing about the country you seem to hate except what you see in the media. The US is a front runner in diversity and opportunities for everyone and has provided help to people all over the world but that seems to go unnoticed.
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac I don't hate any country. I don't even hate people. I do dislike people who are against fighting for equal rights though.

As long as some one else provides the venue for your tantrum.

@NerdyPotato Exactly who is against equality here? This post is about disrespect not racism as much as it pains you to admit that. Disrespect to the people paying her way and even worse to the athlete that actually won .The ceremony should celebrate the gold not be overshadowed by some idiotic political prank by the first loser. I'm surprised your not complaing it's all racist because the black girl lost.
NerdyPotato · M
@Budwick Exactly! You must be so glad SW proves a platform for your tantrum. Don't you hate it people are allowed to fight bigotry here too though?
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac If people are not against equality, why would they call it disrespectful for someone literally just standing there in support of it? And why would it be racist that a black woman lost? It would be (positive) racism to give her the gold medal while not delivering the best performance.

@NerdyPotato
My tantrum?
I wrote about an athlete that broke Olympic rules in order to flaunt her personal opinion. The improper venue.
SW IS a proper venue to put forth opinions.
Even your opinions are welcome here -
UNTIL they become unnecessarily vile, vindictive and personal.
I've cut you some slack.
You have waved off warnings as if being blocked is a badge of honor.
In reality it's a stain of incivility.
My recommendation is to walk away.
Unless, this is the hill you want to die on.

@NerdyPotato Because she is protesting against something that has been drilled into her by the real racists. Racism is a global problem ,why aren't all the athletes crossing arms ? Could it they understand the true spirit of competition is ? Tell me what would be the easiest way for a real racist to accomplish their goal, stand in public and create division or con the most vunerable to do it for you? Lets teach racism to ensure there will never be unity against the real culprits.
NerdyPotato · M
@Budwick Oh, now human rights are a personal opinion? You're not making this any better.
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac Omg, I can't with you guys anymore. 🤣 Oppression has been drilled into the victims by "the real racists"? Who are these real racists other than the oppressors?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@NerdyPotato
Read the post again, Sparky.
It's not about human rights.
Please, take YOUR tantrum elsewhere.

@NerdyPotato The democratic party and black lives matter are two of the biggest ,you do know the democrats started the kkk right? Here again you try to be an expert in something you know nothing about.
NerdyPotato · M
@Budwick You wrote:
Saunders said afterwards that the “X gesture” represented “the intersection where all oppressed people meet.”
Being oppressed is not a human rights violation? Please! You can't be this ignorant.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@NerdyPotato Even though white people are the ones currently being oppressed, the Olympics is not the time or place. You seem to have a hard time understanding this point.
NerdyPotato · M
@Budwick Okay, you must be trolling because nobody can be this thick. I'll leave you to it because there is no point in discussing your fantasy world.
