The Attire Of Female Athletes

I am glad to see female athletes rebelling against sexist standards in athletic attire.

There is nothing particularly political in my use of the word "sexist". Men being allowed to play volleyball in shorts, while women being required to wear bikini bottoms. Then when they wear shorts like the men-- being fined.

Athletes are professionals. They can decide what attire is best for them. Athletic guilds should focus on broad standards that don't afford undue distraction or performance advantages.

These ladies seem quite comfortable with what they wear.

@Zonuss if all female players were comfortable with wearing bikinis & all male players were comfortable with wearing full shorts & shirt, they wouldn't have to be coerced into doing it with the threat of fines & firing.

@HoraceGreenley Its irrelevant.

@Zonuss the fact that IOC fined the Danish team for not wearing bikini bottoms is irrelevant? The conclusion being that the IOC cares only about ratings and not competition. They are not above coercion to get what they want.
