Conservative privilege. If that was Antifa, half of them would be dead.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@PrincessAwesome If they were black, more than half would be dead.
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@windinhishair TBH, I think bias and privilege in America has much more to do with politics and class. Not sure race would matter in that setting. Though BLM would be plowed down, just because they're left-leaning.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@PrincessAwesome I think race would make a difference, but thankfully we shall never know!
@PrincessAwesome When did civil rights for black people become a “leftist” issue ? Just curious. Some of us are left of center, but Martin Luther King, Jr. certainly wasn’t, even though racists like J. Edgar Hoover called him a “communist” simply for believing people of all colors deserved protection by the U.S. Constitution !
Imagine that.
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@bijouxbroussard Civil rights in general are a left-wing issue. The Right wants power to be as hierarchical as possible. That's why they've been against every civil rights push for every marginalize community. Whereas the Left wants power to be more evenly distributed, which is why the Left fights for marginalized peoples and the working-class.
And MLK actually might have been a Communist. He said in a letter that he was "much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic." We don't know for sure if he considered himself a Socialist or a Communist, but it seems possible.
@PrincessAwesome He was not a communist. And no, he didn’t consider himself one.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@PrincessAwesome MLK is no more a communist than the US is a socialist country because it has Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@windinhishair He probably wasn't, but by his own words, he was more of a Socialist than a Capitalist.
@PrincessAwesome The funny thing is, real Christians (who follow the teachings of Christ) have much more in common with socialists than capitalists. But in the U.S. that’s never been how mainstream Christians see things.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@PrincessAwesome Actually, no. If you cherrypick a couple of sentences you could convince yourself of that, but MLK was never a Socialist.
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@windinhishair Didn't say he was. I said he considered himself more Socialist than Capitalist.

@PrincessAwesome I’m very sure this is bait, the majority of antifa get bailed out, if they even get arrested in the first place
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@pianoplayingsteve I didn't say nobody would bail them out. I said the police would shoot them.
