Both news organizations are a problem, feeding people disinformation.

The market always reacts to whatever the huge news is. At the moment, the Delta Variant is spreading fast, we've have many natural disasters around the world this past week, and in general, the news isn't good. With that, confidence erodes with people who are nervous and easily panicked.

Some people might view the sell off as a nice opportunity to buy back in.

The stock market is not a reflection of the economy. The reason the market dipped today, is that we have too many unvaccinated people. And the perpetrators of bad information were first in line to get vaccinated.
