There'd be no Tiger Woods, and opportunity for others, which then would just cause more poor and homeless people. I think there's plenty of vacant lot already to put free housing.

@DestroyerOfIdeologies I’m in favour of cutting back on government employees then using those same government office buildings to be converted to apartments for he homeless

@DestroyerOfIdeologies True. Apply that generally and there would be no "Sporting Heroes" at all. and these people would have to get real jobs that actually did some good. I dont blame the sportspeople. Its really the amount of money the media put in that is the problem. Build some hospitals, schools and things the people need instead.

@whowasthatmaskedman lol sports stars make big salaries because they draw millions of people to voluntarily give money to their employers… if you put a cap on athlete salaries you know where that money would go instead? directly into billionaire owner and corporate broadcaster pockets - most athletes in American sports come from poor to modest backgrounds - but god forbid the little guy luck out ever, right?
@DestroyerOfIdeologies Oh please. How many homeless people can play like Tiger Woods? Seriously, how many people would actually be homeless?

@SW-User I am worse than you think. I dont believe Sport should be a profession. Just an enjoyable community rereation for weekends.

@whowasthatmaskedman how would you go about eliminating professional sports when once again, millions upon millions regularly pay hundreds a year to watch live and filmed sporting events?
DestroyerOfIdeologies · 26-30, M
@SW-User We don't even have to take the government office buildings. There's just a lot of vacant lots.

@DestroyerOfIdeologies fuck that I’m fine to have some lazy government employees let go

@DropTopDig It's not just the players. Other businesses earn money when there's games in town/cities. People visit the place and bars, restaurants, clothing and memorabilia businesses, hotels, motels, etc, make money.
@whowasthatmaskedman Let them have to get real jobs & see how the other half lives. I have a sh*tty job landscaping, but I I made my bills for the month with $2 left in my checking account.

@SW-User I dont think I have an answer. But I cant help but think of the Roman empire, where to take the minds of the people away from the serious issues of the day, Caesar ordered Bread and Circuses at the Coliseum. Now we have the government Printing money and Professional sport 24/7.

@DropTopDig I wont judge for any other nation. But I know that half the football and Cricket players in my country. Would be in jail or doing community service in between mowing lawns for a living if they weren't paid to throw or kick a ball.
