The best option is split government, so neither can accomplish anything.
@StevetheSleeve or just abolish political groups
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@StevetheSleeve If you think about it, split government favors Republicans. If government is split and can’t accomplish anything, that plays right into Republicans’ narrative that government can’t do anything right. It is in Republicans’ best interests to make government not work.
@JP1119 its in everyones best interest if the government doesnt work, it wont spend and ruin our economy
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined Ruin it for whom? You remember Econ 101 where they tell you the importance of supply and demand? Without spending there’s no demand, which means a shitty economy for the vast majority.
@JP1119 maybe you failed econ at the part where over spending causes inflation
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined Nobody’s overspending.
@JP1119 im laughing my ass off with what u just said, you definitely failed econ.
@JP1119 how much in debt are we in, how many trillions of dollars are the dems pushing the last several years?
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined You’re too high up Trump’s ass to allow yourself to believe the economy is good now.
@JP1119 lmao the economy is trash right now and inflation is going up. you are too demented as a dem to actually see how bad things are. im not a repub.
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined Not as many trillions as your beloved Trump, but debt isn’t really a big deal, especially if you’re stimulating the economy.
@JP1119 you do realize that congress sets the costs.
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined What the hell are you then?
@JP1119 yeah its a big deal, learn about inflation. listen to some milton friedman because youre party delusion is making you not know anything and assume things that arent true.
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined That’s such a cop out. Okay then why would a Republican led Senate and Trump approve such “outrageous” spending? Does that mean when, I assume you think the economy was bad from 2011-2017, that Republicans in Congress were to blame, not Obama?
@JP1119 im an independent. i believe political parties are nothing more than corruption and u are proof of it.
@JP1119 u do realize that dems were in control in 4 of those 8 years under obama. and the economy was bad in those years, look at gas prices and inflation that occurred during that time.
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined Hold on now, did I ever say I was a Democrat? I’m an independent too.
@JP1119 all u do is praise dems so i doubt u are.
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@undetermined I know Republicans got control of the House in 2010 and didn’t lose it until 2018. The Senate I don’t remember for sure, but I was under the impression that it also went Republican in 2010 and stayed that way until 2020.

And I don’t “praise” dems any more than you “praise” gop. How do you imagine our political views would change without political parties? They might change a little bit, but I believe they would mostly stay the same. We don’t decide where we stand on the issues because we choose to identify with a brand name and then let those politicians tell us what to believe. Our stances on the issues flow naturally from our world views, the narratives we believe about how the world works. That comes in part from our experiences but also from biology. Yes, there are generally biological differences between liberals and conservatives.
