Yeah, so let's poison the well and never listen to science, because popular opinion was once wrong.

@LordShadowfire There isn't this mystical "the science". That's a mindset the mainstream media like to push, they push whatever suits them as "the science" and handpick a few studies. An incredibly ridiculous appeal to authority.
In actual scientific circles, that is considered such a fallacy. In so many areas, there will be studies pointing to one thing being true, and at the same time studies pointing to the opposite being true. Science is merely a model of determination. Models whose conclusions almost daily prove older conclusions false. It's a model. It's like saying all of "economics" agrees with you because you made some money once. This idea that there is "the science", this unquestionable holy doctrine, is absolutely absurd. I'm glad the actual scientists aren't the same as 99% of the people who google a study that supports their bias, and declares it "THE science"
@pianoplayingsteve The only people I've ever heard push the claim that science is perfect are anti-science nut jobs. The rest of us are aware that science is constantly being changed, updated, and corrected. Whereas anti-science dogma remains the same.

@LordShadowfire The mask bullies pushed mask wearing because of “science “

@LordShadowfire I can't speak for other people. But you were quick to turn what I said into "you want to poison the well!" from what I said. And your other comment saying I'm against medical science, when I work in medical science and have studied more books on the subject than I have most other subjects, and I'm a book worm.
@MrBrownstone Oh, for the love of goddess! I'm just going to start blocking you anti-mask Karens and Kens. If you morons want to spread COVID freely without regulation, then get the fuck out of my country. And if you're not in my country, stay the fuck out of it.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire Because you “trust the science “ of masks. Just proved my point
@pianoplayingsteve Then I really don't know what your goal was in posting this. Because now you've got the anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers woken up and complaining.
@MrBrownstone I've read about masks. I've done the research. Wearing a cloth mask over your mouth and nose prevents you from spreading sickness to other people. That's a proven fact, with tons of evidence behind it. I'm not putting blind faith in anything, idiot.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire Once you insult your argument is lost.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire Well, here's an idea. maybe stop trying to assume that everyone else has some sort of hidden goal or agenda.
@MrBrownstone I just don't see a point in arguing with you. You've obviously decided that masks and vaccines are stupid, and you don't intend to participate, so my opinion is you should get the fuck away from civilization in general.
@pianoplayingsteve Then why would you post this? Just as a "fun fact"?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire I work in the medical industry, I've managed ambulance units, I've lectured to junior ambulance workers, we have to have an insanely high standard of hygiene and disease control. I have a very good idea of what I am talking about. However, I am not going to put you down.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire I don’t see a point in healthy people wearing masks when so many doctors agree. And asymptotic is not real according to many doctors. And it’s obvious eying only trust science you agree with and shun science you don’t agree with.
@MrBrownstone So you're willing to trust the average human, knowing that the average human tells over 100 lies a day, to tell you that they aren't sick, and genuinely mean it.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire Because I wanted to. You got a problem with that? You think you know more about the subject than me?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire Like you do?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@LordShadowfire "the average human tells over 100 lies a day" speak for yourself.
@MrBrownstone I clearly know more than you on the subject, as I research actual facts.
@pianoplayingsteve I'm quoting actual studies. I don't trust maskless people to be telling the truth when they say they're not sick.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire Research on the internet?
@MrBrownstone So what, now you're saying the entire internet is in on the conspiracy? Just how big is the group of people who want you to put on a mask and take a vaccine?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire Not what I asked.
@MrBrownstone Yes, research on the internet. What am I going to do, take the time to travel around the country and interview these people myself?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@LordShadowfire I used history for my research. Virtually no restrictions for the Hong Kong flu pandemic.
@MrBrownstone Remember the Spanish flu? Millions of people in Pennsylvania demanded that restrictions be lifted, and the state conceded. Ask me how many people died.
