Well, Joe is still dealing with the Israeli Hamas issue, and is avowing that the LOST will be honored...CCP/PLA a bit upset one of our ships “dared” enter waters that China says is theirs. The Russian/ German pipeline will fade away.
@soar2newhighs You do know what side of the globe the USA is on right? Anyone who didn't fail primary school geography knows the US is poking the dragon.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow This
country has, pardon my directness, “fucked” with any number of countries. As far as China, LOST, that’s been on going for a while. The dragon likes to
be poked, despite breathing harmless fire (rhetoric). They’re more interested in economic dominance..
I served in TAIWAN for 15 months. The dragon did not act up. Different these days.
They’re eager to try and take TAIWAN back by force, but are unsure of the response by the U.S.[image deleted]
@soar2newhighs 🤣 Lol. Yeah, China is going to invade Taiwan any minute now since 1947.

More like poking China justifies maintaining colonies in Taiwan and South Korea. The only people benefiting is the US empire.

Just like the US loves to piss off Russia so NATO can justify the existence of their jobs.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow We’re out of Taiwan military. Our presence there in those years up until ‘79 was an umbrella for Taiwan. Beijing knew that. Korea... served there too. Twice. Again the North knew/ knows better, and China keeps them in check. A military confrontation in Korea could adversely affect China.
@soar2newhighs
We’re out of Taiwan military
Less relevant when you can park assault ships off the coast and have a constant show of force in the area.

Fun fact, in the early 2000s a South Korean soldier was thrown in prison for 2 years for criticizing the US military. Not exactly the sign of a sovereign nation. More like what you would see in an old European colony.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Depending on who’s in the Oval Office, wants to keep the status quo, having a military force is a wise move.
Ever serve in the military? ( not judging or criticizing) but our Govt dealt with many dictators (Chiang Kai Shek and Park Chung Hee) to name two in Asia because America’s interest were always foremost and on the geopolitical table. I served in both Taiwan and Korea while those two aforementioned gentlemen ruled their respective nations. This is the real world,
@soar2newhighs I come from a military family. I can't pass the medical.

That is always the justification but the US literally has a school for creating dictators and alot of Americans rightly wonder how the hell their freedoms ended up in Vietnam or Iraq. It doesn't add up.

I also think the timing of the creation of AFRICOM, fits a little too nicely with the discovery of about 3 trillion dollars worth of minerals used in computers and electronics in the former French and Belgian Congo.

It maybe the real world but it is one the US largely decided to create.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow We’re not the only ones In Africa! China has a footprint there that God doesn’t believe! And under what administration did Africon get started under? Cumbaya my lord, the don’t fed the bulldog!
Working continents and nations does!
@soar2newhighs I am sure you will recognize this quote.

“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Mo, I don’t. Who’s it by? I don’t argue the quote,
@soar2newhighs Major General Smedley Butler.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I’ll look
Him up. Thanks.
@soar2newhighs And getting back to being in bed with dictators Butler was passed over to be Commandant of the Marine Corps because he spoke ill of Benito Mussolini in 1931.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow cross the establishment be it civilian or military hang up your career!
