Is it possible to have a civil discussion on things like politics or religion?

If the majority of the posters have similar views and opinions, then everything is cool. But if the views and opinions clash, then...BOOM!

@ozgirl512 I think one of the issues nowadays might be that there are so many conspiracy theories floating around, that people don't know what to believe anymore.

@Rose0415 there's a thing called cognitive dissonance... It basically means you can "not see" facts that are contrary to what you believe to be the truth ..
