I say there should be a full investigation into the claims he is being harassed and into the officer's reported behavior here.
I am betting there is more to this story, as it sounds kind of sketchy, and the media has a severe credibility issue lately, especially when it comes to race.
Hoping more details come out in the future.

There is no trial by the media here. The AG will investigate, but the public record (see the link) tells me all I need to know about the story. I've been following it since it happened, and why I shake my head anytime a white man does not understand why a black person, may not feel like being a good boy and listen to what the white man tells him.

@Northwest it isn't about so long over and doing what the white man wants. In most (damned near all but not quite) cases being reported in the news today, it is about following the damned law. That is not a white or black thing, it's a common sense thing.
If this case is as it is being portrayed here, it is the exception, not the rule. We have a guy (and I don't care if he is white, black or purple with orange spots) trying to do his job, and being harassed by the police. In this case, if it is true, there needs to be a reckoning and house cleaning down at the sheriff's office. It's inexcusable, whether it is a race issue or just the cop doesn't like him personally. It's abuse of power.
On the bigger issue... One day there will be a reckoning for the media. I am encountering more and more starting to wake up and realize they are being manipulated and lied to. Sooner or later, it will all come crashing down and I personally can't wait.

Seattle is one of the few cities where we have active programs to deal humanly with the homeless population. Random homeless camps represent a danger to their residents and public safety.
The city has a special unit to deal with enforcing moving encampments to safer/more manageable spots.
Not too many voices say "defund the police", but plenty of people want the Seattle Police Union held accountable for its racism.
This occurred in Tacoma, not Seattle.
