7 Million people were administered the J&J vaccine in the US. 6 people developed serious blood clots. No deaths. That would be 0.85 per million, making it a 99.999914285714286% success.
Also, if you read about why these blood clots developed, you will discover that those affected would have also developed these blood clots had they gotten infected with Covid.
The effort to uncover why some people were affected, allowed scientists to identify an issue that's not related to the vaccine, and kicked off an effort to find a solution for it. Had it not been for the vaccine reaction, people would be dying from this extremely rare genetic condition, and listed as dying from something else.
If we do not stop the spread, then more variants will develop and the world will never reach herd immunity. It's not about you, it's about the variant that you help develop/spread, if you get sick and survive.
