@QuixoticSoul The reason why I say it doesn't really apply in practice is because if your company is big enough you can run it into the ground repeatedly and the government will give you free money.
And with so called "golden parachutes" you have bonuses being paid out rewarding failure.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow businesses are def accountable to their shareholders . Businesses must not operate at a loss either . Our govt used to be accountable towards its citizens

@AthrillatheHunt Again, that works in theory but as I pointed out that doesn't hold up in practice. Also short term profits often run counter to properly managing a business.
