@Driver2 The federal government's influence is not as big as you think it is. Federal income tax is about the only thing they have direct control over. Everything else is decided by state and local governments, and influenced by the market.
The price of gas fluctuates wildly in a "normal" year depending on which seasonal blend of fuel they're making, the price of crude oil, state-issued gas taxes, and the demand. If people start driving more, the price goes up because there's more demand. The only influence that the federal government has is minor, and that would be any import tariffs on crude oil, which I don't think they've raised recently.
The price of heating depends on your heat source, and who your provider is. This has nothing to do with the federal government.
And if infected people are going around entering places they shouldn't, that's a job for the local government/police to enforce. Unless you want the federal government to step in and lock people in their homes by national order, then they have no way to stop this. Call the local authorities to deal with that.
Now, if you just hate democrats, that's fine. Just say so. But don't spread misinformation in an attempt to blame the President on things he has no control over, especially when he's only been in office for two months and inherited the worst state the country has been in in almost a century. Maybe you should go back to school and learn which level of government has which responsibilities.
