@smiler2012 I think it comes out of their belief they were fighting a legitimate war against the British government and that their beef was not with the English people per se. I would suggest that is more charitable than many sanctioned military actions.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow yes very true there was one attack against the government of the day in nineteen eighty four at the tory party conference .where the the i.r.a tried to kill thatcher and her cronies by blowing up the hotel they where staying .alas they had no interest in that case who they maimed or killed in there terrorist cause
