I assume you mean the Chinese virus that Trump expedited a cure for?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Bob25 It originated in Wuhan, China, but Trump took responsibility for it when he denied it and refused to accept its danger, and refused to protect Americans. And the first vaccine (which isn't a "cure"--there is no cure), was developed by Pfizer, without any support of any kind from the Trump Administration.

Nice try, but bogus.
Bob25 · 41-45, M
@windinhishair he did everything he could and more. I don't know where you get your distorted information. If bifen was in charge we would still be at ground zero. He the virus was whst he ran on. I don't see where he is doing anything to help.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Bob25
he did everything he could and more.
. Well, if you mean by everything, lying to the American people about the virus, saying it would go to zero in a few days in February 2020, saying it was a hoax, telling people it would be gone by April, lying about the efficacy of hydroxylchloroquine as a "miracle cure", telling people to shine a bright light inside their bodies and to drink disinfectant, telling his cult they didn't need to wear masks, refusing to let the experts talk freely about what was needed, and showing no respect for the hundreds of thousands of dead, I guess he did do "everything he could and more." Unfortunately almost none of it was good for anyone other than himself.

Biden so far has ramped up vaccinations, unveiled a national strategy for dealing with the coronavirus (Trump never had one), signed an Executive Order mandating mask wearing on federal properties and during travel, released all of the vaccine to get people vaccinated faster, created a covid-19 response coordinator, expanded access to covid treatments, created the Covid-19 Health Equity Task Force, directed the Department of Labor to revise and issue new guidance for employers to promote the health and safety of their workers, such as mask-wearing in the workplace, established a Covid-19 Testing Board, instated Covid-19 travel restrictions, and in general took the pandemic seriously--something Trump never did. Biden has done far more in a little over two weeks than Trump did in a year.

He the virus was whst he ran on.
Uh-huh. Whatever you say, man.

It was Obama’s fault. 😊
Trump saved the lives of millions of people, Budwick told me so. 😆😆
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JohnOinger He blocked me in 2017 or 2018 after I exposed one of his posts for its lies.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@JohnOinger is he still posting?
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@monte3 yes
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
But this can’t be! Remember, it was just 15 cases and soon we would be down to zero? And then April’s warm weather is gonna wipe it out? And then the whole was just a leftist hoax? The great and wise Orange Julius told us these prophetic things, and surely he couldn’t be wrong, right?
@Zaphod42 According to the Trump cult, the “plandemic” is fake. Bill Gates pays doctors $14,000 for every fake COVID death! This is why deaths from auto accidents are zero!

I actually know people who believe this.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Hidin' Insurrectionist Baby-trump won't let anyone die because as his son, "the smart one," Eric says... his father is beloved... "the most beloved political figure in history."
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@windinhishair Yeah... that's the one. You know... the one who lies all the time... about everything.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul
You know... the one who lies all the time... about everything.

You have to be more specific than that when you are talking about the Trumps. That applies to every single one of them.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@windinhishair Exactly.
jim44444 · 70-79, M
It is impossible to predict the ultimate death toll from SARS-CoV-2 since it will always be with us in some variant. We will mitigate its effect on daily life just as we have mitigated the effects of TB, HIV, Influenza and a long list of other diseases.
I hope that we have learned from this pandemic and will be better prepared for the next plague.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jim44444 Maybe next time we won't eliminate the national pandemic office. We need to be ready for next time.
jim44444 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair I would hope we are ready for the next one but I have doubts that the so-called leaders have the balls to make it happen. They are only focused on the next news cycle, next election. Theoretical future problems are given lip service.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jim44444 George W. Bush started the pandemic preparation of the federal government during his terms in office. Obama continued and strengthened the preparations, particularly following the Swine Flu (which is a variant of H1N1) in 2009. The government was therefore somewhat prepared--until Trump took office and eliminated many of the people and preparations as unnecessary. It was more important to torture children along the border and kill federal criminals than to protect Americans. But the good news is that up until that point, there WAS some level of federal planning, and I'm sure there will be again, though your point is well taken that it may fade in time.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Strictly speaking the Spanish Flu should be called the American Flu as it was first recorded in Kansas in March 1918.
But...but space lasers tho?!
SW-User
Given that there are idiots who still believe the Pandemic is fake, wearing a mask equals slavery, and the vaccine is a death trap, it will exceed the U.S. Spanish Flu.
Carla · 61-69, F
Well in the course of one year we've lost what, nearly half a million?
This vaccine simply cannot inoculate for stupid. Stupid is going to assist covid in killing many tens of thousands more before the stupid kills itself off.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Carla Trump's malfeasance in his bungling of the coronavirus response is the gift that keeps on giving.
Carla · 61-69, F
@windinhishair absolutely. His cult would have worn triple masks, shields and latex gloves had he told them to do so.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
600,000. 🤔
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
I still think these figures seem pretty low. In England, we've a population of around 65 million. And thus far, the death rate is at about 105,000..
OggggO · 36-40, M
@HotPizza71 England is one of the extremely few countries that fucked up their Corona response worse than the USA.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
@OggggO or we're showing the real numbers, and everywhere is out of control. I actually think our numbers should he at least 20 to 30k higher
