Why is it that the Republican party has done FAR more for black people than the Democratic party in recent America history?

Trump got black people jobs. Under Obama all he did was enable a victim mentality. Poor black people need jobs and opportunity.

What policy did Trump pass to get black people jobs?

He kept bringing up the number of employed black people as if he caused it, but the reality is that the number of black people working had been rising all throughout the Obama administration. It's just a trend that happened to continue during the Trump administration.

Trump's just congratulating himself for doing nothing and taking credit for other's accomplishments, per usual
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@TinyViolins He lowered taxes and cut regulation which in turn caused companies to hire more employees overall.
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@ghostofapu Black and Hispanic unemployment were already at record lows BEFORE the tax cuts went into effect. They did nothing to change employment figures and only worked to create a trillion dollar shortfall in revenue and a wealth increase for the top 1%
@ghostofapu How did that specifically affect Black people? It may have helped them, but only along with everyone else. Their economic gains were still less than whites during the same period, and Trump actively went against their other concerns, like police brutality.

Trump is still a racist piece of shit.
Trump supported a bunch of racists who waved Confederate flags and wanted to start another civil war. Remind me how that was good for African Americans?

How are those jobs working out for black people right now? Or any people, for that matter?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@SooperSarah For black people right now. Or any people....clearly meaning a group of people, as also clearly indicated in the original post. Your reading comprehension leaves very much to be desired. The original post would not mean very much if it meant that a single black person somewhere in the US benefited somehow from unnamed Republican policies, would it? Your personal situation, as I described, is irrelevant in the context of nationwide groups of people.
@windinhishair You went out of your way to add the "or any people" to your statement, but anyone that's employed or white isn't included. And then you question my comprehension skills?! I get it though. It's what you do, resort to personal attacks when you've backed yourself into a corner. It's sad, but it's going to happen when you insist on being so closed minded.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@SooperSarah How is anyone excluded from the national unemployment rate, employed or unemployed, white or any ethnicity? Had I said "person" instead of "people" you would be correct. But I didn't. And you are not. You're the one who is wrong and backed into a corner. I just presented a statement and backed it up with facts.

Read the original post above I was referring to, and tell me if the OP means a specific individual when he talks about black people
Can you name a specific policy Trump promoted that was targeted at black people to increase their rate of employment? Just saying that unemployment in general went down doesn’t count. The economy in Trump’s first three years continued the improvement begun under Obama, so I don’t see how Trump gets credit for helping black people, just for sitting on his ass during a certain period.

Yeah, like marking their peaceful movements as "domestic terrorism" and using the national guard against them. They should totally be thankful /s
You drank the Kool aid. Go directly to the ER and get treated.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M

Try statistics and facts, then check back with the grown-ups' room.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
🤣 LOL You Amuse ME
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@JohnOinger Why did more African Americans vote Trump than any other Republican candidate in recent US history?
@ghostofapu African American men, you mean. I don’t know but there are a few theories. But Biden owes his victory to African American women.
