Pence was defenseless.
He was like Quayle another Hoosier VP; couldn’t spell the word potato for an elementary student and I will bet you that adults that voted back then remember that.
I also bet that incident with the fly on his head will be remembered for awhile. 😊

@Pfuzylogic He was banking on being able to capitalize on the Trump brand. But even if Trump had won a second term, Pence was never going to have the same appeal to Trump’s fan base outside of the Evangelical community.

Pence is a different beast then trump, He was much more conventional as Governor of Indiana continuing the conservative brand from Mitch the previous bike riding Governor. He was infamous for bringing support for legal suits against the LGBTQ+ community.

@Pfuzylogic That was his main shtick - hatred of LGBT. That’s not as much of a selling point as it used to be.

@Lila15 It was/is a serious issue and I believe he sincerely supported it. Indiana can be sad in its persecution of the marginalized population.
