Why does the left hate free speech and why do so many people let attacks on free speech slide?
What we had yesterday was a coordinated attack on free speech. Notice how Twitter bans Trump, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch freeze his accounts and Youtube bans Steve Bannons podcast and remove Parler an alternative pro free speech network from the android app store?
People say "Trump in cited riots". Yet these same social media companies did nothing to remove hate speech from the left. If you dont believe me type the words "white people" into the twitter search box and see what comes up.

That's not an attack on free speech, it's a business decision made by companies to distance themselves from toxic individuals.
It's like when businesses drop their sponsorships of famous people that run into controversy or sports teams cut athletes that have gotten in trouble with the law. You don't have to like it, but they're perfectly within their rights to remove anything that represents their brand poorly
@ghostofapu Why do you hate capitalism? These companies worked hard to become successful and you want to take their wealth and distribute it to people that had no hand in it
@TinyViolins These companies arent private businesses they have become a public utility. If you are a politician or run a business you need to be on twitter. Look at how these companies conspire together to deplatform people they dont like and prevent alternatives like Parler from blowing up to their level. There needs to be laws created to stop this kind of fasict collusion.
@ghostofapu If they're a public utility, then why do they have corporate executives, shareholders, and trade on the stock market?
How do you know that these companies are colluding together when they're known competitors? Banning toxic individuals isn't illegal, so they've not broken any collusion laws. Different companies are capable of responding to the same event.
It wasn't collusion for Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Doordash to expand their services at the same time. They acted accordingly to what was going on in the country
@TinyViolins The point is they only say Trump is toxic and ban him because they disagree with him. Yet everday there is anti white racist comments and they do NOTHING to ban those users. How is this acceptable for shareholders of Twitter?
@ghostofapu So do you want Twitter to police each and every individual user that posts something inciteful, or should they be forced to allow anybody to say anything they want, like for instance, glorifying child molestation?
@TinyViolins I think as long as there is no doxing, threats, revenge porn or child pornography everything should be allowed. If Mike Smith in Los Angeles is pro pedophile the world needs to know so they can keep their kids away from him. As long as he isnt posting cp then let him say stupid shit.
@TinyViolins Children cannot consent. I wouldnt have a problem with them having all the lesbian naked yoga videos up on youtube as long as they are consenting adults.
