So...no national healthcare?

All we hear is folks will have to stand in line. Choices to turn away very ill patients. Whatever.
But the choices that folks are making...not wearing masks, joining gatherings with no precautions, thumbing noses at sound scientific evidence, irresponsible state leaders...these things are happening right now. And guess whose fault it is? It's your fault (you know who you are).
And, btw...this free vaccine? Pffft. Pfizer has just raised prices on other meds. Guess who pays for that?

Was uncertain if this is healthcare or political. So...in to the go to🤷‍♀️

It’s almost as if there needs to be a conversation on lifestyle choices before we have that discussion on national healthcare.

@AthrillatheHunt because the freedom of the dollar is more important than the freedom of the person? To be fair, I do believe Lifestyle discussions are good to have. But there are multiple groups in play here. You have people that live poor lifestyles because they are lazy and impulsive. I don't think that is as many people as some like to think. Others live such lifestyles because they do not have much other choice. Time, money, and energy are luxuries a lot of people find themselves in short supply of these days. And yet another group profits from the sales of junk, trash, and convenience and do everything they can to keep people in the cycle. Tobacco companies are notably evil in this regard.

People are burning their candles at both ends, they don't have the ability to worry about healthy lifestyles in the long term without starting to melt the candle in the middle too. Lot of people have attitudes that if they can do something so can everyone else and the world just doesn't work that way.

@ViciDraco you speak wisdom friend.

@AthrillatheHunt it's a problem with a long trail. At almost any point in the cycle you are still solving symptoms rather than root causes.

I think conversations and dialogues work best when they are two sided is all.
To discuss the responsibility of the govt without discussing then responsibility of the citizenry is a dead end.@ViciDraco

@AthrillatheHunt the citizenry gave up their responsibilities a good while ago, trading them for blue vs red sports logos they can cheer for without really thinking about what each is bringing to the table. That disaffection is why the government focuses more on supporting donors than constituents. Because they can get away with it.

@ViciDraco they gave up their freedoms. The govt abdicated them of their responsibilities. That was the deal.
