Why do some people dislike Joe ?

Most dislike him simply for being a Democrat...petty tribalism hasn't gone away yet

Some dislike him for being old and making speaking gaffes....it makes people think that's he not mentally fit for office. But to be fair, speaking mistakes are common. Just look at a blooper reel from a film or show every once in a while and realize that even when lines are scripted for professional actors, they're still liable to be messed up

Many dislike him because he's been in politics for most of his life and see him as just another self-serving politician without substantive policy ideas. Considering he gets attacked by both the left and right for this one, I'd say there's something to that idea.

Some even see him as complicit in the failures of the Obama administration or of past Senates, but it's not fair to pin the shortcomings of a vast bureaucratic body on one person unless they're actually in the leadership role.

I don't think any of those reasons warrant such a cynical rejection of someone that hasn't even been inaugurated yet, but people will live and die by their own self-righteous indignation
