So voters, poll workers, election security, voting machines, media, attorney general, justice department, FBI, courts, and judges can't be trusted. ~

But only Donald Trump and his spurious claims of election fraud can be trusted. Does that sum it up?

Soooooooo, were still talking about this ???
RedBaron · M
@MarmeeMarch He still thinks Congress can overturn the result next week. So yes, he and some Republicans in the House and Senate are still talking about it.
@RedBaron IDK - seems like he is fighting this one. But thats Trump - a fighter. Maybe more people should be more like Trump and less like an whiney liberal pantload.
RedBaron · M
@MarmeeMarch Maybe. Then they could be losers, too.

All presidential candidates up to trump respected the voter and American unity enough to accept the results like a man. Like I said before insanity is doing something over and over and expect a different result. Trump is at 60 failures and counting. @MarmeeMarch

@monte3 LOL, ever heard of al gore?
monte3 · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 yeah the guy who had one state where he wanted a complete recount. And was only behind by 500 votes as I remember. And who did concede, took the concession back and accepted the Sumpreme cour5 decision. And didn’t try and end democracy when he lost. That gore? Yeah I remember him.
@monte3 We have never had a modern day President that was not a politician and thought the same way - that is to bend over - Trump is well within his legal rights to exhaust any resource he has - wouldn't you do the same if you were in a situation and then later sitting down wondering - "man I should have done that" or you would say "I could have done this" then the famous line comes to mind -"hindsight is 2020" Well Trump doesn't think that way - he is aggressive and I think seldom say those things to himself.

@MarmeeMarch What you're saying here is that politicians might suck - but at least they're willing to put the good of the country before their own ego. That's a pretty stunning indictment of this odious lame duck.

He is indeed a bigger shitstain than any politician.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul LOL, and you believe that, eh?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Don't have to - reality is manifest.
@QuixoticSoul Trump is doing no harm to the people - it is perceived threat on democracy. Not real.... I just look at it as a guy that never loses and watching what he does. The problem is that nobody is used to see a Prez act this way. This is the way a business person acts like.
RedBaron · M
@MarmeeMarch And what building is your name on? My name happens to be on the deeds and Department of Housing Preservation and Development records for the three apartment buildings I own in NYC. But hey, that's just me.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@MarmeeMarch The dude actually loses all the time - but he never gives up. Normally that's a positive quality, but there are times when that attitude becomes completely destructive. At this point, we're well past him nitpicking technicalities, and into the sphere of him simply trying to overturn the will of the people. In business, such a win would be a professional coup and an accolade. In a democratic country, that would be, well, the end of democracy.

This is all part of the problem that comes with putting a businessman into a position that is fundamentally about public service, as opposed to personal aggrandizement.

Even shitty politicians understand this.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@RedBaron Ah, a slum lord, eh?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Public service means loading your pockets with money?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Trump actually monetized his presidency to an impressive degree as well, but I'm not too concerned with that.
RedBaron · M
@sunsporter1649 I suppose, if apartments rent for $3,000 to $10,000 per month in slum neighborhoods.
@MarmeeMarch
Call me when you have your name on skyscrapers in NY or on Hotels in DC
You DO know that his financial records revealed that, besides Trump Tower, EVERY business HE has run has lost money? So even the cornerstone of "he's a great businessman" is bullshit.

(He was pushed out of managing/co-managing another Manhattan property, but is part-owner; that one *is* making money, but not run by him.)
@SomeMichGuy It's called business - you make and you lose money - do you actually think he has everything sunk in his towers ? You are thinking like a man with a very narrow mind but that's because you are not in Trump's league.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@MarmeeMarch Trump is actually a pretty shite businessman, whose organization is being kept afloat by the trump tower rents - one of the few successful real estate moves he actually made. His tax leak was pretty illuminating. Not because of the zero profits, that’s not always a bad sign. But he’s not working with an Amazon-like situation.

He is a much more successful entertainer, but he got fired off his show.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch if I had inherited the money trump did I would have more money now than he has, simply by investing it in s&p index funds. And I would have given a flip of a lot more to charity. 🤷‍♂️
That said I am not sure why this is so important to either side. I am interested in finding out how much came from money laundering Russian mob money.
@monte3 Maybe with uncovering some of the Biden's shenanigans we might peer into what happened with Trump.
monte3 · 70-79, M
Huh? Not sure what you mean.
@MarmeeMarch
RedBaron · M
@monte3 That's OK, he's not sure either.
