Most taxes are paid by the rich, but the percentage of their gross income which paid as taxes is typically not reported, since it is usually based on AGI, which difference favors the rich, just like various tax loopholes, etc.
Jobs...this is a thicket, because it depends upon the economy, and there is an often mis-quoted report from the 1970's which has never been corrected in the minds of Americans.

@samueltyler2 Actually, the reporting mostly IS on the AGI, not on thd gross income.
Just look at it.
People would be REALLY upset if they saw numbers reported by *all positive contributions to income*, without adjustment down to the AGI.
