I believe the courts' decisions that Trump's lawyers were unable to produce evidence of fraud.
If there was any fraud it was insufficient to alter the outcome.
So if the elections were re-run under even closer scrutiny, the result would be highly likely to be the same.

@hartfire Why would the election need to be run again? There was never any question of fraud (except for the minuscule amounts found in all elections). But Trump is able to speak to a certain section of the population with such vehemence and charisma that he was able to convince them that if he lost, it was because of fraud. He sowed the seeds for this months, if not years in advance. The fact that this is even being discussed is because he's got into your head too.

@Uachtarain I didn't say it should be. I agree that there was no fraud. The judges examined the cases. More than half of them were strongly conservative in their politics, and all found that there was no evidence of fraud.

However, the exact wording of the original question is a hypothetical - so I answered it accordingly. [i][b]If[/b][/i] there had been fraud, then re-running the election with greater supervision would have been the only way to protect and continue the democracy.

@Uachtarain There is no constitutionally valid mechanism for doing the election over, at least on the presidential level. If for some reason everyone agreed that the election results were invalid, we would have no president or vice-president on January 20, and the Speaker of the House would serve as acting president.
