Most protesters never met the person standing next to them until an hour earlier. They came together to support one thing, not to support everything every individual there ever did. That man or his crimes before the protest don't represent what the group stands for.
On the other hand, the sex offender in the oval office was chosen by over 70 million Americans to represent them.
