Just out of curiosity, I was out shopping when the news broke that Biden was declared the winner of the election but who pulled the trigger and said that? Serious question.

@Keepitsimple All the US TV networks.

@Keepitsimple Only the media. They are the mouth piece of the Deep State and therefore not to be believed. As always they are the last to know what is going on.

I heard that, they named several networks but I was just curious did they all have a pow wow and decide to announce it on their own or who tells them? Sorry I sound ignorant. @Frank52

@Keepitsimple I believe it's based on a formula that has been used for a long time, based on the mathematics of what is definitely known and how much is yet to be counted. I'm afraid I don't know anymore details. They did nothing differently this time to previous elections.

@Keepitsimple They all get their marching orders from the Deep State. Something else happened to trigger the announcement. Trump went golfing. He is playing with their little minds and they fell for it. Too Funny!

@Keepitsimple What happens is that states and counties in the states report their voting numbers, counted, not-counted, and for who. The networks use mathematical algorithms to determine if based on the historical votes and percentages if a candidate has enough votes left in a state to pull ahead.

So for PA, they determined that not enough of the votes left in the state that are uncounted were for trump for him to catch Biden. So then, they could declare PA for Biden, which then gave victory in the race to Biden.

AP News and Fox use one set of formulas, and the rest of the networks use slightly different modeling.

@Keepitsimple You don't sound ignorant...unlike some folk.

@Pherick Thanks. I found that enlightening too.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@Pherick Thank you for explaining that to me. I was kinda caught off guard I suppose because even though we could see Biden had the numbers I just thought they had to wait for the lawsuits to be handled or thrown out before they could declare a winner. Thanks for explaining it to me!
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Keepitsimple the media projected but the media doesn't decide. We wait for the certifications and lawsuits to finish as well as the recounts.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@Keepitsimple No problem. I think lawsuits are pretty frivolous at this point, trump hasn't won any of the lawsuits he has filed yet, though I think one state did allow the poll watchers to get a bit closer to poll workers, so maybe thats a win?

It doesn't matter anyway, as the state voting laws say certain things need to happen, and unless a judge tells them to stop or change, they have to continue on!

But in essence it has been, no? That’s a lot of money to waste between protection for the families, celebrations and news coverage. I feel like the lawsuits are a formality but he’s grasping big time and I voted for him.,@MasterLee

@Pherick Thats what I think so too, it’s a waste of time and energy. He needs to make a civilized concession speech and move on.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Keepitsimple I merely state the facts. He does not have to concede. We will know by December 20 or sooner. At this point I really don't give a shit.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
😂 Me either. I’m back to regularly scheduled television. 👍@MasterLee
Pherick · 41-45, M
@Keepitsimple I think you should only file a lawsuit if you have evidence of voter fraud. Many of trump's mouthpieces have been spouting off about things like, "dead voters voting", "ballots sent to everyone", etc. Things that have no evidence at all.

The difference between the press conferences and a real lawsuit is that if you say "There is voter fraud" to the media, you don't need evidence, trump's people just echo what he says. A judge however wants facts and evidence, which they don't seem to have. So I imagine lawsuits will be tossed pretty quickly.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Agreed. Kinda like how come he didn’t make those arguments when he won the first time around? 😉@Pherick
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@Pherick This is exactly true. FACTS stand up in court, not assertions. The burden of proof is on Trump.
