Making sense when it comes to energy

I know Washington or American politics doesn’t make sense very much but I think I found a way to make everyone happy about energy independence and ending the oil dependence. It would be great if we had a president who actually had a brain and looked out for everyone. Now here’s my idea and tell me if I’m wrong. It would be great if we had a president that actually came out with I want to be as energy independent as possible while we can start exporting more oil while striving for a solution for cutting the consumption of oil. Using the power of the free market and deregulating the industry of alternative energy technology. Allowing for rapid growth and exportation. It is just what would work best for everyone. But I could be w?

We really just need a president with a brain first. We haven't even gotten past that the last four years.

@Unitato 4 id say a lot longer than that! This should have been done decades ago like under Clinton or Regan

@Ozuye502 I don't quite remember their presidencies because I was just a kid. And more interested in lit and spelling classes, so I wasn't some cool kid who knew what was going on with politics. I guess it carries on to this day. I suck. xD

@Unitato I was born during the first bush administration so Regan was before my time. But the gas crisis should have been a wake up call

@Ozuye502 I mostly remember being pissed gas was around a buck ninety in 2005 in this area. My broke college student ass didn't care for that. It was cheaper years before. But I remember that time specifically about getting truly pissed about it.

@Unitato I remember my father paying 10$ for a 1/2 tank in his 1990 Chevy Blazer S10 in the mid 90s it was about $0.90 a gallon. And just went up under both demorat and repubican administrations. So yes both suck. Driving down demand for while increasing exportation puts the US Back in a position of economic growth that will put a big hit on the Middle East while making it more affordable.

@Ozuye502 I drove a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo back in 2005, so it was an effin' gas hog. It sucked, but it was the only vehicle I had access to. I lived in it for a few months, too. I dunno.

@Unitato I always had a v8 between a 89 mustang GT 88 chevy blazer K5 350 small block and a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The mustang had a custom built 427 that was an absolute rocket (9.5 second 1/4 mile) The blazer now has a 502 big block cranking out a massive 1150 horsepower and the Jeep was stock I spent more $ in parts and fuel than I’d like to admit. The blazer gets 2 gallons per mile the mustang became so unworthy for road use due to handling. The jeep my brother totaled. I now drive a 2.4l Dodge Dart and I absolutely cannot stand the thing. Good on gas handles well but lacks the power I’m use to

@Ozuye502 Oh gosh. I'd have to get my father-in-law to interpret. x3 ♥

I just have a smart car nowadays. Better for my current job on gas. Stronger than you would think before a harsh rain, but makes an absolute shitty boat.

@Unitato I hear you glad I still have my K5 with the 26 inch lift and 44 inch tires.
