Why do women who dress sexy complain about being objectified?

By dress sexy I am talking about shirts that expose nipples cleavage or belly, tight yoga pants or tight pants in general where we can see camel toe and panty lines and short shorts where the ass cheeks hang out and shorts so tight we can see the outline of the vulva and panties. Or dresses and skirts that go far north of the knee. Also clicking (loud) boots and high heels draw attention as well. I dont get why women would dress sexy but want to complain about guys focusing on their bodies instead of their mind. Are they just saying that because people are afraid that admitting to wanting attention would make people think they are slutty or do they actually believe men are capable of not being blinded by female beauty when its on full display?

For the record I do not believe nor am I calling for women to not dress sexy or the way they want. Just frustrated with their reactions to men they come across when they dress that way.

@ghostofapu The entire point if a social media platform is to comment on the stuff people post though.

@BlueMetalChick But she is literally coming to my post and telling me to shut up because shes mad. Shes one of those girls Im talking about who dresses sexy and gets upset at guys staring. She didnt have to come here but by coming here she proves my point.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu I would bet any amount of money that she doesn't dress provocatively.

@ghostofapu incel behavior
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@SW-User How am I an incel? Because I call out hypocritical behavior? Thats not an incel. That term means frustrated virgins who blame women for not getting laid. My issue is not that I am getting laid. And its not that I am trying to tell women how to dress. But that I get annoyed by women who dress sexy and get upset when guys pay attention to them. That is not an incel opinion. Thats an opinion of 99% of straight men.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu Perhaps you aren't an incel yourself but this topic matter is one very commonly focused on by incels, so when people say it, it usually makes people think of that.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Even if its a focused topic of incels does not make it invalid. I feel its ridiculous for women to be upset that guys stare at them when they dress sexy. Thats like leaving the porch light on on Halloween and being surprised trick or treaters come to the door. Dressing sexy invites male attention by default.

@ghostofapu so maybe straight men need to grow up and realize that women don't just exist for you to sexualize? i'll claim the 1%
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu Leaving your porch light on is an agreed upon signal that everyone has come to the consensus of meaning the same thing. Not everyone has come to the agreement that the clothing you wear means one thing or another.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@SW-User I never said they did. Its just a natural reaction for straight men to notice female beauty when its exposed. It has nothing to do with being "grown up". 80 year old men notice it. Its a primal instinct thing.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Most men would agree women dress sexy for male attention.
SW-User
@ghostofapu then they wonder why women hate men <3
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu You are overestimating how much thought people put into other people's opinions of their outfits. I wear rock shirts and jeans with combat boots most days and very seldom has the thought ever crossed my mind of whether that's attractive or not.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick But that isnt dressing sexy. Dressing sexy is a short dress that shows off cleavage and high heels with lots of makeup.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu Then why do I still get unwanted attention for it?
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Because you are a young female and are probably naturally beautiful. Guys are still going to be drawn to beautiful women even if they dont dress sexy. Difference is the staring thing will be much more profound when a woman dresses sexy.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu You sell your fellow males short in the assumption that their nature is simply overpowering.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Its a guy thing. Most men would agree. As a man I am sure there are female things I may not totally understand. If you were male and especially a hetero male you would know, trust me.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu You sure I don't just keep better company than you do?
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick Ask guys you know and get back to me. Lots of guys will agree. Show them my comment. Screen shot it and email it to them.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ghostofapu Well, alright, if you insist. I have a feeling I can predict what each will say though.
ghostofapu · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick They may be an exception to the rule. Try asking them and at least 2 other guys outside of that friend group.
