Is personal behavior and integrity important in selecting a POTUS? Why or Why Not?

@independentone Nixon. Kennedy. Johnson. G.W. Bush. Clinton. And no doubt others, all had their questionable traits.

The position of Presidential candidates comes down to the money and influence they can raise rather than any ability for the ‘Top job’ they may have.
@Picklebobble2 Although one has to be full of themselves to think they are qualified for that job.

Eminently qualified candidates with a lifetime of public service behind them ?

@independentone Well, certainly the wrong decision to think you could 'borrow your way out of problems'.
And to completely 'dismiss' the rapidly approaching Covid-19 onslaught initially ?......Look what happened there ?
