Has he clarified his statement? I don't have Twitter, but it seems he could reject them loudly to his millions of followers.

If someone in authority made that kind of statement ('Stand down and stand by') in my country in the midst of the kind of tension that is splitting the USA, I would be extremely worried. We've seen it in Europe and I hope steady minds and genuine patriots will come together against extremism and the wolf-whistle that violence might be ok - if he calls for it. [i]Animal Farm[/i] was not just necessarily about communism: it was written when the Nazis had just been defeated.
