UK prime minister making another announcement that applies to England. And we’ve had to wear masks in Taxis for ages.
Military on the streets?Come on....This is really going down a slippery slope.Let’s keep the population scared.
And how the hell does closing an hour earlier stop the virus?
Making it up as they go along...
I predict the riots I’ve expecting all along...

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Oh i've no doubt this is a mix of trying to contain a mass panic which may end up with folk on the streets rioting, with make folk fearful just enough that they follow that you ask them to do for fear of a dreaded disease.
@Picklebobble2 which will not go away if we continue with a policy of trying to stop people getting it.....if we carry on down this route we all just simply exist until we die.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Well, there's a lot going on that doesn't really make a lot of sense.

If there is a virulent strain of something going around, ordinarily you'd tell folk to stay home and not go out.
Watch the 'infected' numbers fall over a period of time and then sound the 'All clear'.

But so many of us work a rolling shift pattern. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. 365 days a year. So nobody anywhere is ever going to be on the 'same page' at the 'same stage' as anybody else !

We don't shut businesses on a Sunday these days like we used to.
More of us WORK on a Sunday than ever before. So there's no 'respite' anywhere !
Add to that all the 'black economy' workers doing stuff that isn't monitored....

@TheSirfurryanimalWales i think pub curfew you mentioned is a absolute joke, does the virus not come out till 10 then, people mixing in pubs and restaurants till 10 then close, I have not heard Boris or anyone give the reason why it is ok to mix till 10 then close , does not make any sense at all

@Nyloncapes Ah well, this plays into my theory that from day 2 of this thing we've been treating it as an economic problem rather than a medical one.

Tell the public we're likely to hit recession or even depression unless..... and you'll get the majority to do what you need them to do.

Tell them it's imperative or they're likely to fall ill and die, and you'll likely see a panic.
Rioting.
Looting.
Businesses being targeted.
People perceived to be of African descent targeted....
