If this is such a crises then why be opened at all. I think I’ve gone from one extreme to the other. Nobody knows anything for sure. The rules change daily.

@Keepitsimple This is because in the middle of a pandemic, idiot boy in America and his 'twin' in the UK thought they could disregard the virus and keep businesses going.

With the massive increases in infected numbers, (the so called 'Second wave') hospitals and health clinics are starting to be overrun so they need to add more measures.

But rather than do what they KNOW they need to do, they're persisting with this message that if we close pubs and take-aways by 10 that will in some mythical measure affect anything rather than shutting ANYWHERE where people gather (Bus stations; Train stations; High streets; Shopping centres....and so obviously kill business as a result)

Just another version of trying to have your cake, eat it, and say you're doing your best for the country while the numbers infected and dying increase.

I don’t think the medical professionals have any true answers and they have to base their decisions off of what they say. No matter who is in office they would get picked on. There’s no clear answers. We’re damned if we or don’t. @Picklebobble2

@Keepitsimple Well there's some truth to that.
We know what happens with this virus because places like Africa see this all the time.
But it's never been monitored or dealt with because nowhere in Africa has the infrastructure we have and there's ALWAYS poverty in Africa and so folk do what they have to in order to try and survive.

There's only one way to deal with an outbreak of anything.
And that has nothing to do with 'Test and trace' or having a bloody phone app that tells you when to 'self isolate'.
You have to shut EVERYTHING down.
Restrict movement of ANY kind.
Confine everyone to 'house arrest' for a period because that's the ONLY way you can restrict the virus' movement.

But as the President said "Nothing stops business".
And while they pursue that line of thinking......
