I’ve never understood the heated arguments people have. Has anyone in the history of mankind changed someone’s mind with an argument? We’re proud creatures who think we’re always right! Lol

My husband is one such person. @Jpfunjunky

@Spoiledbrat My wife is as well 😂

@Jpfunjunky Absolutely minds are changed all the time through thoughtful, evidence-based argument since ancient Greek times.

@Graylight I would agree, but I would define that as a discussion or debate. I should’ve been more clear that I was referring to the heated arguments people are having over such things as politics and Covid 19.
I’ve seen long time friendships destroyed, family members blocked on Facebook, and so on. It just puzzles me why some people have the innate need to not only be right, but be hostile towards those who don’t agree with them.

@Jpfunjunky Can't disagree with that. I wish that would change with a new regime, but it doesn't really matter who wins, I think. This bitter division and mudslinging will continue on both sides. The human animal is pretty bad at negotiation.

@Graylight My thoughts exactly! It won’t matter a bit. Each side throws as much mud as the other and both claim the others are racists and stupid. I’m just ducking and staying out of the line of fire lol
