I wonder how many of those jobs are for servers at restaurants when they opened back up, primarily for patio service.
I wonder how many of those jobs will remain when the weather turns cold and patios close for the season.
And according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 240,000 of those jobs for August were temporary workers hired for the 2020 census.
I guess i'm just saying maybe take into account that you're comparing a single point statistic to an average over 4 years.
Just something to consider.

@Budwick
I do think the jobs of servers are important. The point i was encouraging you to consider was how many of those jobs are only temporary.
Hence my suggestion that you consider the difference between an average and single point statistic.
You don't think servers and their jobs are important?

So, a server job is only good enough for temporary work.
Restaurant jobs involve a lot of people - a significant part of the economy.
But, I suppose from your castle in the sky, they must seem kinda low on the totem pole. Are you one of those elitists?

@Budwick That's not the point. The point is, these jobs were nothing to do with Trump.
They are simply jobs that have been recovered from the layoffs that had to be made due to Trump doing his level best to force the economy to be reopened before the virus was under control (it still isn't).

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I don't know about "only good enough" for temporary work. I'm just saying that many of those jobs will only last temporarily.
We don't seem to be communicating well here.
I'm not making a judgement on the value or significance of servers or the service industry.
All i'm doing is inviting you to consider that the statistic you're talking about here is including an awful lot of jobs that are going to disappear all too soon.

@Budwick Well look what happened when Trump opened things up purely to boost his election prospects... why do you think all those jobs were lost?
@SW-User
Thanks, that's all i'm saying.

The Trump recovery is the greatest recovery on record.

@Budwick And you must have missed my reply.

@SW-User I'm sure it was brilliant.
@Budwick
I did indeed. Can you point to a single thing i said here which indicated that i thought server jobs weren't valuable?
I'll wait while you copy and paste it here....
It seems to me that your repeated attempts to put words in my mouth betray the fact that you had not thought about the point i was making and therefore had no thoughtful response.
I wasn't attacking you though, i was just asking you to think through the propaganda.
You said what you said.

lol my dude, you can't quote mine me when you're talking about my own posts😂
Or did you genuinely not make the connection between me talking about patio service and cold weather as being about the temporary nature of the jobs and not a value judgement on the people working those jobs?
God is your witness, be honest
