It would be quite a hard shock to the economy if that happened. The Chinese account for some 26% of all trade Aus does with the world. A renegotiation of the free trade agreements would be better, and a gradual reduction of dependency on Chinese goods.
Currently the trade situation is so imbalanced that China some say in internal Australian matters, I’m from Singapore where they’re meddling so I’m quite a bit worried on that front.

@Longpatrol China will become a problem that the Earth as a global community will eventually have to deal with I believe...

@Mandalorian It started years ago mate. When Xi Jinping took power. It became more overt when the 2008/9 crisis allowed them to buy up just about everything and then feel confident enough to claim a third of south east asia as historically “theirs” . The absolute cunts.
