Dude says "We gotta get out" and then that changes to "we gotta mostly get out" and then "on election day we should have about four to five thousand troops there." And then it goes to "We do need to get out but we're doing a great job there so we should stay."

@BlueMetalChick A non-military person, any president, having the responsibility as Commander in Chief making military decisions, maybe we need to rethink that ? I don't have an opinion about how that could be done.

@whowasthatmaskedman I wouldn't quite say that. Some of the best presidents we've had were not military personnel. And some of our worst have been. Andrew Jackson was a military authority and Jesus was he a terrible choice.

@whowasthatmaskedman Well we should at least make a rule that no draft dodgers can run. People who had the balls to openly object to the draft of an unjust war are a whole different story, but chickening out and making up dumb excuses so you don't have to fight but not taking a stance against a war that shouldn't be happening is grounds for not being allowed to run in my opinion.

@BlueMetalChick Yes. I could go with that. But I think its fair that only those willing to perform some sort of service to the nation should qualify to represent it in govt, representing the people.
