Trump supporters: Why do you think Trump insists on referring to COVID as "China" or "Wuhan" virus? What is the benefit which outweighs the harm?

Most of the world is calling it COVID. Why is it important to Trump to call it China virus?
When you're referring to it in mixed company do you call it COVID or China virus?

I'm not a trump supporter, not even American but I'll give my opinion.

2 main reasons, it absolves his administration of the economic and personal costs. Blame it on someone else.

Secondly its part of his continued agenda to undermine science and scientists by not using the defined terms. Makes him appear in a different level to them.
