Trump supporters: Why do you think Trump insists on referring to COVID as "China" or "Wuhan" virus? What is the benefit which outweighs the harm?

Most of the world is calling it COVID. Why is it important to Trump to call it China virus?
When you're referring to it in mixed company do you call it COVID or China virus?

There is no benefit, it's just passive racism. There's been videos of mass racism towards Chinese citizens because of the virus even though they have no control over what happened. And they're just as much as victims of their own Govt as they are by our racism. Multiple videos of journalists disappearing in China after it was shown that there was body bags in the back of vans and boarding up their own citizens to quarantine the virus, while the poor terrified civilians cry out for help. And now, what's happening in Hong Kong, calls for revolution are deemed illegal and stuff.

It's just passive racism, that's all it is.
