Trump supporters: Why do you think Trump insists on referring to COVID as "China" or "Wuhan" virus? What is the benefit which outweighs the harm?

Most of the world is calling it COVID. Why is it important to Trump to call it China virus?
When you're referring to it in mixed company do you call it COVID or China virus?

Because that way he tries to absolve himself or his healthcare system of it being his problem.
@Picklebobble2

Could be.
Try to shift the blame even though the origin of the disease has nothing to do with how the Trump administration failed to handle it.

@Pikachu More likely it's because even Trump knows he has to try and do something about the number of deaths in his country from a disease folk didn't encourage upon themselves but his policies probably did.

The refusal to close borders. The refusal to ground air travel......even when he knew the source of the disease was Wuhan in China.

Last i heard there were an estimated 158,000 deaths attributed to Covid-19 in the USA.
That's an awful lot of potential lawsuits if plaintiffs could prove government action actually encouraged it.
@Picklebobble2

Yeah i suspect making a scapegoat is very high on his priority list.

@Pikachu Hence Fauci and Co. being 'lauded by government' one minute and then lambasted by same the next !
@Picklebobble2

Waaat? Lauding someone's ability and credentials and then later throwing them under the bus?
That doesn't sound like something Trump would do! lol
