These ARE difficult times.
Those democrats that seceded? They were traitors. As were all those that served in the confederacy.
But many stayed in the Union.
Let all those satues, be moved, to a big park, where the history of all can be openly taught.

@sunsporter1649 oh hell no! For years they were "yello dog democrats' who would vote fer a yalla dawg, before a republican.
Till nixon? The republicans were the aggresors in the Great Rebelion. They saw the party of Lincoln, in the most poor light.
Disclosure? I am white southerner, fully aware of the mythology of history.
Republic means the nation is to be ruled for the benefit of it's people. The party has changed a lot since goldwater.

@SatyrService Son of the South here also, goddamnyankee was one word in my home. And unfortunately the democrat party has not changed since jim crow days
